Beskrivelse
“Denmark is like a Marie biscuit in a glass of water”, writes Danish author Peder Frederik Jensen. Denmark is a country covered in coast, never are you more than 50 km away from the sea. As sea levels rise, and storm surges increase, the meetings between human and water intensify. Planning is a means to mediate these meetings. But how is water perceived in such planning processes? Using the examples of Danish flood risk management, Mette will discuss how different notions of water, may help inform future planning.
