Åsmund Rinnan is an associate professor at the department of food science, section of ingredients and dairy technology, and two research groups: the chemometrics group and the food proteins group.

The chemometrics group is one of the largest of its kind in the world, and as such, are publishing articles with a high impact worldwide.

The food proteins group is research group with a long track record in understanding and analysing protein modifications.

Primære forskningsområder

Åsmund anvender og udvikler kemometriske redskaber til problemløsninger.

Den nuværende forskning har fokus på:

  • Multi-dimensionell fluorescens spektroskopi
  • Udvikling af multivejs metoder for fluorescens
  • Anvendelse af kemometri til at løse praktiske problemer

Undervisnings- og vejledningsområder

Åsmund Rinnan is responsible for the course Exploratory Data Analysis/ Chemometrics, and the PhD course Multivariate Data Analysis. In addition he gives lectures at several other course.

2008 - Boardmember of the Danish Chemometric Society

2009 - Mentor/ supervisor: 7 post-docs, 18 PhDs, 52 MSc and 42 BSc students
