I am a medical doctor with a PhD focused on advanced adaptive (platform) trial design, in a shared position between Copenhagen University Hospital - Rigshospitalet (Department of Intensive Care and Platform Trial Unit) and Section of Biostatistics, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen.

My research is centered around the design, conduct, and analysis of randomised clinical trials, with focus on advanced adaptive (platform) trials, primarily assessuing commonly used interventions in critical care. My methodological research focuses on design features of clinical trials, and in particular includes simulation-based evaluation of design features in advanced adaptive trial designs. In addition, I am involved in the development of tools and guidance related to advanced adaptive trials, including the adaptr R package.
My work also covers application of Bayesian statistical methods in clinical trials, evidence-based medicine (systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical practice guidelines), and other study designs, including cohorts.

I am the methods lead and coordinating investigator for the Intensive Care Platform Trial (INCEPT), a Bayesian adaptive platform trial in critically ill patients, and the methods lead (trial design) for the Empirical Meropenem versus Piperacillin/Tazobactam for Adult Patients with Sepsis (EMPRESS) trial, an advanced Bayesian adaptive clinical trial.
