Anne Rasmussen is a Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen. In addition, she is affiliated to the Department of Public Administration, Leiden University, Professor II at the Department of Comparative Politics, University of Bergen and a Fellow at the Montesquieu Institute. She serves as a member of the executive board of the European Consortium for Political Research and is a co-convenor of the ECPR standing group on interest groups.

Current research

Her current research analyzes interest groups, political representation, perceptions of public opinion, public policy, social media, gender, citizen engagement and political parties. She was the Principal Investigator of the DFF funded project SoMeRep on “Inequality in Representation” and the GovLis Project (www.govlis.eu), which linked data on interest groups, public opinion and decision-making. Currently, she's the PI of an ERC consolidator grant: "Advocacy in Digital Democracy: Use, Impact & Democratic consequences" and a project on Social Media and Political Representation funded by the Danish Research Council. Previously her research received support from organizations such as the European Commission, the European Consortium for Political Research, the British Council, the European Science Foundation and the Danish and Dutch Research Councils.
