Current research

I am currently working on two research areas. The one is the history of scholarly, academic and religious debate in the sixteenth century, where my main interest is in the Jewish pilpul and academic disputatio. The second is the history of the Holy Land/ Palestine from European perspective, where I study descriptions, representations and conceptions of the land up to 1850.
