Aysel Küçüksu is an expert in Scandinavian compliance with the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and the role of third-party interventions in the Court’s monitoring processes. Through the LEXplain and FLAIR projects, she also examines the human rights implications of digitalisation in the public sector. Together with Zuzanna Godzimirska, Aysel has spearheaded the creation of Denmark’s first database on the use of AI in the public sector, https://offentlig-ai.dk/, which has received support from Copenhagen University, Illum Fonden and Dreyers Fond. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and inform public debate on the growing role of AI in governance.
Aysel holds a double PhD in Law and Political Philosophy from the University of Geneva and LUISS-Guido Carli di Roma, an LL.M. from the University of Copenhagen, and an LL.B. from Queen Mary, University of London. She speaks English, Danish, Turkish, Bulgarian fluently, and French and Italian at a conversational level.
