My research is focused on the early history and evolution of our Earth, currently focusing on Greenland. I work with petrology, geochemistry, thermodynamic modelling, and geochronology to unravel the history of some of the oldest places on Earth. Obtaining samples for projects like these requires field work, sometimes in remote locations, which I thoroughly enjoy.

The project I'm currently working on is focusing on the 1.85 billion year old Nagssugtoqidian Orogen in West Greenland, trying to determine which tectonic events have happened there and when exactly it happened. This is done by looking for microscopic inclusions in minerals and modelling the pressure-temperature-time path that the rocks in the area have taken.

During my Master's I worked on the 3.7-3.8 billion year old Isua Supracrustal belt in southern West Greenland. The project showed that garnets from an outcrop may be younger than previously thought.
