Britt Pinkowski Tersbøl er uddannet antropolog og har en PhD i Folkesundhedsvidenskab. BPT har i sin forskning fokus på interaktionen mellem sundhed/sygdom, behandling og socio-kulturelle aspekter. F.eks arbejder BPT med hvordan sundhedsinterventioner, og den kontekst de implementeres i, gensidigt påvirker hinanden. Hun arbejder p.t. med forskningspropjekter i Tanzania, Ghana og Danmark indenfor reproduktiv sundhed, kroniske sygdomme, sundhedssystemforskning og adgang til/forbrug af medicin, herunder antibiotika.
