Kort præsentation

Christens særlige interesser er epidemiologi, myeloide sygdomme generelt dog med specielt fokus myeloproliferative neoplasier, eosinofile syndromer og kronisk myeloid leukæmi foruden laboratorie- og livskvalitetsforskning (PROM) indenfor disse emner. Christen har betydelig forskningserfaring både igennem laboratoriearbejde og arbejde i klinikken samt projekter udført i forbindelse med stillingen som formand for CopLab-databasen. Christens arbejde er således translationelt mellem laboratoriet, klinikken og epidemiologien.

The CopLab Research Group

About us
The CopLab Research Group is anchored in the CopLab Database, which contains results from routine paraclinical tests conducted in primary care in the Capital Region of Denmark. The database provides a unique longitudinal resource for population-based research, with detailed information on laboratory testing covering a broad range of physiological and biochemical markers.

Research profile
Our group applies the CopLab Database to investigate questions in epidemiology, clinical medicine, and public health. The data enable studies across a wide spectrum of topics – from disease etiology and progression to health services research and preventive medicine. The scope of potential applications is inherently interdisciplinary, and our work often involves collaboration across clinical specialties, epidemiology, biostatistics, and the social sciences.

Vision
We aim to advance knowledge on health and disease trajectories in the population by combining paraclinical data with other health and administrative registers. Through this, we contribute to a better understanding of the role of laboratory testing in healthcare and to evidence that can inform both clinical decision-making and health policy.

Collaboration
The group is open to national and international collaboration and welcomes partnerships with researchers interested in methodological innovation, disease-specific epidemiology, and cross-sectoral approaches to health research.
