• Empirical theology (lived religion): religion and health, science and theology, psycho-social research (coping), pastoral care, health anthropology, theological image theory.
• Constructivist theory (theoretical and analytical methods): reconstructive and process theology, social constructivist and postmodern structuralistic theories.
• Empirical methods (qualitative and quantitative): in-depth interviews, focus group interviews, participant observation, questionnaire and questionnaire development, epidemiology.
