DNA-analysis: Screening of ¿ -libraries and isolation of genes, Southern-analysis of plasmid- and genomic DNA, RFLP, PCR, restrictionsmapping of genomic and cloned DNA, sequencing (chemical and enzymatic), multiplex-PCR-based STR analysis (SGM+, Identifiler), sequencing of mitochondrial DNA.

 

RNA-analysis: In vitro transcription, isolation of RNA, Northern blot analysis, primer extension/cDNA-synthesis.

 

Analysis of DNA-structure and complexes involving DNA: Electroforetic mobility-shift assay, footprinting using enzymatic and chemical probes (DNase, KMnO4, dimethyl sulfate, diethyl pyrocarbonat, Fe-EDTA).
