Henrik Rindel Gudbergsen is a practicing physician and associate professor with vast experience within the areas of pharmaceutical medicine, medical devices (MDs), and software.

Henrik has been working within healthcare for +15 years as a researcher, clinician, research manager, project leader and line manager. Henrik was the originator behind the development of electronic questionnaires (deployed in 2010 and still actively used at the Parker Institute (www.parkerinst.dk) as well as an eHealth platform within Rheumatology (www.elector.eu), he has been involved in the development and patenting of assay technology within the IVD industry, worked within the pharmaceutical industry (Novo Nordisk A/S), and managed departments within Medical Affairs and Clinical Compliance in a major international MD/IVD company (Radiometer Medical Aps). In addition, Henrik has worked with and as part of global and leading companies within the software and MDs (Philips Healthcare BV and IBM Watson Health, respectively). Lastly, Henrik has served as a Board Member for a software as a medical device (SaMD) company (www.hedia.com).

Within the area of research Henrik has completed a PhD within medical imaging technology, algorithm development and clinical research within obesity. He has managed international research teams on the basis of grants from the European Commission and Eurostars. Moreover, he has and served as both an Investigator and Principal Investigator in relation to obesity research applying anti-obesity medication (NCT02905864) as well as clinical research including MDs and IVDs.

Henrik currently serves as a referee for the following scientific journals: Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open, PLOS ONE, Arthritis, Scientific Reports, Eurostars, Arthritis, BMJ Open, as Editor for BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders and Frontiers in Musculoskeletal Disorders. In addition, Henrik act as a coach and External Expert for the European Commission, the European Innovation Council, Eurostars, and the Danish Innovation Fund.
