Current research

Understanding adipose tissue function and physiology can aid in the development of novel therapeutic strategies aiming to treat obesity and diabetes.

However, the current in vitro models for understanding adipose tissue are lacking. In my industrial PhD work shared between the Gerhart-Hines group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, and Novo Nordisk A/S, I hope to establish a 3D culture model of adipose tissue.

In addition to my responsibilities as PhD Student at University of Copenhagen, I am also embeded in Novo Nordisk A/S as an Industrial PhD student in Global Drug Discovery.
