I am a PhD Fellow in Sociology with a departmental stipend, working on my doctoral project “War, Identity, and Ethnicity: How Conflict Shapes and Sustains In-Group Bias.” The project investigates how war affects national pride and attachment, and how war shapes social practices in both contemporary and historical contexts.
My broader academic interests focus on the interplay between war, violence, and nationalism, drawing on both classical and contemporary scholarship on war, state formation, and nationalism. Additional interests include political sociology, political behavior and attitudes, comparative sociology and politics, and experimental methods.
