Kort præsentation

Omdrejningspunktet for min forskning er homolog rekombination (HR) og dens rolle i at opretholde genomets integritet. Vi anvender cellebiologiske og genetiske metoder til at studere HR i gær Saccharomyces cerevisiae og i hvirveldyrcellelinjer herunder humane cellelinjer. Vi er særligt interesseret i regulering af HR gennem post-translationel modifikation af HR-proteiner og kromatinstruktur samt den molekylære arkitektur af HR-komplekser i levende celler. Vi arbejder endvidere for at forstå molekylære mekanismer, der er relevante for cancer, neurologiske lidelser og tidlige aldringssyndromer, og vi benytter genetisk rekombination som et værktøj til at konstruere kombinatoriske genetiske biblioteker til biofarmaceutiske applikationer.
