Morten Meldal modtog Nobelprisen i Kemi 2022.

  • Morten Meldal er professor og leder af Center of Evolutionary Chemical Biology ved Københavns Universitet – han har desuden været viceinstitutleder for undervisning (VILU) ved Kemisk Institut.
  • Han har en enestående indflydelse på metoder brugt indenfor peptid og kombinatorisk kemi. Hans specialer spænder over combinatorial chemistry, “click” chemistry, polymer chemistry, organic synthesis, automation in synthesis, artificial receptors and enzymes, nano assays, biomolecular recognition, enzyme activity, cellular assays, molecular immunology, nano scale MS and NMR, encoding.
  • Han har grundlagt Society of Combinatorial Sciences, som han også er formand for.
  • Han har udgivet over 300 publikationer og har 21 patenter.
  • Han er desuden virksomhedsgrundlægger og CSO i virksomheden Betamab, som driver bioteknologisk og farmakologisk forskning, diagnostika- og lægemiddeludvikling.
