Kort præsentation

I have a background in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Edinburgh. I did my PhD in the lab of E. Elizabeth Patton, MRC Human Genetics Unit (Edinburgh, UK).

After finishing my PhD, I joined the lab of Professor Søren Peter Olesen, the Danish National Arrhythmia Research Center (UCPH), and in 2018 I joined the Cardiac Genetics group (UCPH), headed by Professor Morten Salling Olesen.

I use the zebrafish as a model organism to understand the proper function of genes involved in cardiac arrhythmias in human patients and to identify genetic factors contributing to the development of cardiac arrhythmias.

I have a strong interest in the development and function of the cardiovascular system, and in particularly the contributing factors to the development of cardiac arrhythmias and structural diseases of the atrium.

In particular I am also interested in the molecular and metabolic processes important for the proper function of the atrium, and how dysfunction of such processes can lead to severe cardiac disorders.
