PhD title
Health Data Science Strategies for Risk Stratification in Pancreatic Cancer

About the research
I am a PhD student with an engineering background in quantitative biology and computational modeling. I work in Professor Søren Brunak’s research group, which specializes in computational approaches for large-scale, longitudinal medical patient data across various diseases, including diabetes and cancer.

My research focuses on pancreatic cancer, a highly lethal and currently rare disease. Unfortunately, its incidence is expected to rise globally, and by 2040, it is projected to become the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths. To address this challenge, we work closely with oncologists and clinicians to ensure that our research is translational and clinically impactful.

A key aspect of my work involves integrating and analyzing multimodal data from large health registries and specific pancreatic cancer databases. By leveraging advanced computational strategies, we aim to uncover novel patterns in pancreatic cancer.
