Abstract

1,4-Dimethoxy-2,3-dimethylbenzene was brominated under radical conditions to give the title compound, C₁₀H₁₁Br₃O ₄. The bond lengths and angles are generally within the normal ranges. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds.
