Abstract
The report outlines the achievements of the Research Unit for Emergency Medicine (RESCUE) at Slagelse Hospital in 2024, marking the establishment of Region Zealand’s first dedicated research unit for emergency medicine. The unit has focused on clinically relevant projects, including the development of AI-based triage models, prehospital lung ultrasound, and optimized treatment strategies such as replacing X-rays with ultrasound.

Development and research on the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to reduce CT scans and improve diagnosis and treatment.
Published studies on the safety and efficacy of ultrasound in acute clinical settings.
