Abstract
Much of the research in the area of English-medium instruction (EMI) in higher education has focused on identifying stakeholders’ (e.g. students, lecturers, management) attitudes towards the implementation of EMI programs and their perspectives on the effectiveness of teaching and learning disciplinary content in a second/foreign language (L2), analyses of EMI learning outcomes and pedagogies, as well as the effectiveness of various EMI teacher training endeavors (Molino et al., 2022). Assessment tends to be a recurring theme in a number of these studies, but it rarely is the main, or the sole, focus of investigation.
