Abstract
This article investigates artistic constructions and negotiations of autobiography that articulate crystallizations of contemporaneities: distinct points from which a range of factual and possible trajectories bifurcates in time and space. The reading follows a tradition for artistic practice and criticism engaging with the notions of ‘archive’ and ‘history’ (understood as both historiography and archaeological traces from the passing of time), but focusing on the artworks as propositions of how the individual sees him-/herself emerging from a background of exteriorised and distributed memories. The investigations of individuation processes, that take place within the works, are seen in view of the specific conditions for inscribing, reading and circulating information, knowledge and experience.
