Zivilgesellschaftliche Mobilisierung und die frühe europäische Umweltpolitik: Die Vogelschutzdirektive der Europäischen Gemeinschaften von 1979

The essay discusses the contribution of civil society actors from the environmental movement and nature protection groups to the early environmental policy of the European Communities in the 1970s. More specifically, it analyses their activities in the context of the birds directive of 1979 on the basis of selected sources from the Archive of the Council of Ministers in Brussels, i.e. letters calling on the Council of Ministers to pass the proposed European directive. These sources are made accessible to a wider public for the first time.
