The goal of this study is to compare the effects of a culturally adapted cognitive-behavioral therapy for adherence and depression (CBT-AD) intervention delivered by nurses to an enhanced treatment as usual condition on health outcomes in an urban population of first line ART failure patients who meet diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder.
