Science report on the journal Impact about the European Innovative Training Network (ITN) AFib-TrainNet. 

Subject

AFib-TrainNet is an Innovative European Network (ITN) willing to find new therapeutic strategies to treat atrial fibrillation through collaboration between European academic and industrial organisations. The report includes a decsription of the network, a discussion about the advantages of collaboration between Industry and Academia, its goals and potential impact on the field of atrial fibrillation research and patients suffering from the disease as well. It also features an interview with Prof Thomas Jespersen, coordinator of the network from the University of Copenhagen and Rafel Simó Vicens, one of the participating PhD fellows at the Univeristy of Copenhagen and Acesion Pharma.
