Short presentation

I am the Academic Center Coordinator at the Copenhagen Health Complexity Center, where I support both the Center’s researchers and leadership in developing their core research agenda on health complexity in relation to concepts, data, methods, and culture. With a professional background in interdisciplinary research coordination, international communications, and cross-sectoral network-building, I manage the daily operations of the Center and ensure that the physical and mental work environment reflects the Center’s core values and provides a strong foundation for the research process.

• From 2020–25, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Health at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) with a focus on qualitative studies of health systems, medical education, and professional practices 
• I have close collaborative relationships with colleagues in the Danish health and social sector (e.g., Danish Health Authority, Danish Patients, VIVE, Ældre Sagen/DaneAge, KL–Local Government Denmark) as well as many universities, municipal governments, hospitals, and public/private organisations
•  I have extensive interdisciplinary and international networks from projects conducted in association with the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), EIT Health, and others
• I hold a Ph.D. in Ethnology and a Master’s degree (cand.mag.) in Applied Cultural Analysis, both from UCPH. In my dissertation, I analysed the relationship between older people, health professionals, and politicians in everyday life to elucidate how the Danish healthcare sector, hospitals, and municipal authorities can improve professional practices and better coordinate health services and programmes for ageing citizens
• Originally from the United States, where I worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., before developing a career in publishing and corporate communications. I have lived in Denmark since 2008 and became a dual American–Danish citizen in 2025.
