Anja Møller Pedersen is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Human Rights, Technology and Data Protection Law with a particular interest in the digitalisation of policing and intelligence activites, such as e.g. intelligence and AI-led policing, digital surveillance technologies etc. 

Anja has taught at the law faculty since 2012. She currently teaches and supervises BA and MA students in technology law, data protection law and information law. Previously, she has also taught Danish and EU constitutional law and fundamental rights law.

Anja holds a PhD in law from University of Copenhagen (2023).

Both her PhD project 'The fundamental rights to privacy and data protection in the EU legal order: Reconciling rights and rationales' and postdoc 'Privacy and data protection in the age of AI and surveillance capitalism' was co-funded with the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR). 

Prior to her academic carreer, Anja worked as an attorney at the Copenhagen law firm, Kammeradvokaten, and as a legal advisor at DIHR, where she still serves as affiliated researcher.
