Personal profile
Current research
Director of Copenhagen Centre for Health Research in the Humanities (CoRe) (core.ku.dk). Co-director of UCPH-CARI University of Copenhagen Collaborative Ageing Research Initiative (cari.ku.dk)
Since 2013, I have played a leading role in developing synergies and collaboration between Medical Humanities, cultural analysis and the health and natural sciences. This effort has entailed theoretical development of context-sensitive, practice-based understandings of health in everyday life, and methodological development of e.g. qualitative methods and tools that can be integrated in the designs of clinical research. These achievements have been developed through several years of close collaboration with researchers from other faculties at UCPH as well as collaborations with public and private partners. In the same period, the humanistic health research, anchored in CoRe, has become increasingly recognized internationally as an exemplary case of interdisciplinary work and collaboration, and CoRe has established close collaboration with several international reserch groups.
