Personal profile

Short presentation

Christian is an economist with expertise in development, behavioural economics, and legal-institutional analysis. His doctoral research at the University of Copenhagen explored how trust, legal frameworks, and governance shape market participation and institutional development in low-income settings. Through a combination of experimental and qualitative methods, he investigates how farmers and firms navigate weak regulatory environments and what institutional designs support inclusive economic outcomes. Christian has been affiliated with the Development Economics Research Group (DERG) and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Law at the University of Copenhagen, and began his career as an intern at the Danish Embassy in Tanzania.
