Short presentation

I am associate professor in the Center for Tracking and Society at the Department of Communication at University of Copenhagen.

My research focuses on the role of digital media, digital data and methods for political contention, protest, activism, racism, civic engagement, social movements and more broadly political communication.

I was previously associate professor of digital media and communication at the Digital Design Department at the IT University of Copenhagen.

Research projects

Co-principal investigator of the Horizon Europe project INTERFACED Interfaces for Democratic Participation (2025-2027). 

Supervisor of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow Rebekah Larsen, Mapping Misinformation (MAPMISINFO): Alternative Media Ecosystems and reconsideration of Rurality, Radio and Religion (2024-2025).
