Current research
Theoretical taxonomy and evolution, phylogeny and systematics in the monocotyledons especially Orchidaceae (the orchid family). Morphological and anatomical investigations combined with cladistic analysis to elucidate the evolutionary history. These studies are based on the collection of living orchids in the Botanical Garden.
Special duties
Member of the Monocot Group and the Image Analysis Group.
