Helene Ane Jensen graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Copenhagen in 2022. She is currently employed as a PhD fellow in veterinary epidemiology and risk assessment at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

Helene’s research focuses on animal health risk assessment methodologies, biosecurity, and critical appraisal of epidemiological studies. She is a part of the research subgroups Veterinary Epidemiology and Risk Assessment and Avian Influenza Epidemiology.

Before embarking on her PhD project, Helene was a veterinary officer in the Animal Health Division at the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
