Short presentation

I am currently writing a book about women’s experiences of being diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. This project continues my engagement with creative ethnographic writing as a pathway to analytical insight. The most recent outcome of this interest is the book Etnografisk tekst. Om at forstå verden gennem skrift, co-authored with Anna Line Dalsgaard. My passion for literary writing is also reflected in my book Painting stories: Lives and Legacies from an Indian Crafts Village, based on 30 years of work with Indian traditional craft makers.

In the past, my research has focused on educational issues, initially concerning ethnic minority children in Danish pre-schools and later university students.

Forthcoming publication:

Resonant Ethnography. London: Palgrave Macmillan.

Most recent publications:

Etnografisk tekst. Om at forstå verden gennem skrift

Painting Stories

I am the chief editor of AntroStorier, a digital platform for stories rooted in ethnographic fieldwork. AntroStorier explores the analytical potential of various narrative forms
