* Digital film and media culture research: The cultural and social significance of celebrity culture and social media with focus on climate. Film and television as storytelling and a cultural forum for online engagement.

CELEBRITY CULTURE: I focus on celebrity culture and the cultural and social significance and impact with focus on aestehtics and genres in the idgital media culture. 

DIGITAL FILM AND MEDIA CULTURE: My research also focus on contemporary film and tv-drama, the aesthetics and genre, and how they work as a cultural forum online.

My research areas include the following topics:

  • Celebrityculture and the cultural and social meaning and impact 
  • Film and tv-drama as a cultural forum online
  • Celebrities and influencers as role models on social media 
  • Social media – aesthetics  and popular culture
  • Complex media fictions (film and tv-drama) in the digital media culture
  • Media aesthetics in the digital media culture
  • Portrait documentary as genres

Current research:

I am chair of the research group: Media Culture and Media Use (MeMe) at NorS.

Celebrity culture and activism on Instagram: I study how politicians, infleuncers and activistst communicate climate, culture and politics on social media with focus on visual aestehtcis and genres, authenticity and presentation of self.  

Film and TV-drama serier in the digital film and media culture: A study of how media fictions can be understood as a cultural forum in dialogue with social media, digital communities and and live media events.
