Primary fields of research

My general field of research is pig diseases and porcine health management.

In detail I work with:

  • optimising antmicrobial use in treatment of pig diseases with the aim to cure disease and simultaneously minimize development of antimicrobial resistance
  • umbilical outpouchings including umbilical hernia - preventive measures
  • diarrhoea in nursery pigs
