Short presentation

As a researcher specializing in human nutrition, my primary objective is to advance knowledge and contribute to the scientific foundation supporting optimal health and well-being through dietary choices. My career spans various research endeavors focusing on foods, nutrient metabolism, and their impact on health.

A significant portion of my research is dedicated to promoting healthy aging through nutrition. I aim to enhance the quality of life for older adults by identifying dietary and lifestyle factors that support quality of life, and mitigate age-related health issues, particularly concerning muscle and bone health. I am particularly interested in exploring the health implications of transitioning towards more plant-based proteins.

Another key focus of my work involves developing targeted food-based dietary guidelines that prioritize nutrient adequacy, health promotion, environmental sustainability, and cultural acceptance. Drawing upon my expertise in setting dietary reference values, I strive to create guidelines that not only enhance health outcomes but also resonate with diverse communities in a sustainable manner.

My interest in exploring the scientific validity and impact of health claims and other policy tools is part of my broader goal to develop evidence-based strategies that strengthen public health nutrition.
