Current research

Working on three projects which firstly analyzes the tripartite negotiations 2011-12 compared with the 1987 tripartite agreement, secondly analyzes the history of the public bargaining system (From the Civil Service Reform in 1917 to the collective bargaining in 2011) and thirdly analyzes the historical background for the Danish model as well as its future challenges with emphasis on the private labour market (the Danish model II).

1964-1967: Educated as a journalist.

2005-: Professor at FAOS, Department of Sociology, University of Copenhagen.
1994: Head of Research at FAOS.
1990: Co-founder of and Associate Professor at FAOS.
1978: Research Fellow, Research Assistant, Senior Fellow and Research Associate Professor at Department of Sociology, University of Copenhagen (initially the Department of Cultural Sociology).

Other
1994-2006: Member of the municipal council in Lejre municipality.
