Short presentation

Johan Tufte-Kristensen is specialized in civil procedure, commercial law, and private international law. His current research projects concern document production, dispute resolution agreements, the recognition and enforcement of foreign decisions in Denmark, and the application of foreign law in Danish court cases.

Johan has taught courses on civil procedure, contracts, torts, obligations, and private international law. He provides BA and MA thesis supervision on commercial law, civil procedure, and private international law.

During Denmark's most recent membership of UNCITRAL, Johan represented the Danish government in UNCITRAL's Working Group II. In that capacity, Johan contributed to the Singapore Mediation Convention and the updated Mediation Model Law. Johan has chaired a mediation committee under the Danish Institute of Arbitration, and he is currently a member of ICC's Task Force Addressing Issues of Corruption in International Arbitration. He frequently serves as arbitrator in commercial disputes, and he has been a licensed attorney but has deposited his license.

Johan is ranked as a Future Leader in the 2023 and 2024 editions of Who's Who Legal Arbitration.
