Personal profile

Short presentation

My current research is placed at the nexus between rural development, agribusiness and sustainability. Climate change mitigation is a global challenge that carbon offset mechanisms contribute to. Carbon offset projects must strike the delicate balance between social inclusion, economic equity, and environmental sustainability which is a daunting challenge especially in smallholder farming contexts. My current research seeks to answer the question. How do you design an economically viable, scalable and sustainable carbon offset project for smallholder farmers? This research is even more significant in this era of Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism and the Corresponding Adjustments.
