Julian Christ is a material science professional, specializing in developing biologically based composite materials. He pioneered biobased concrete composites for 3D printing, developed protein-based adhesives for particleboard, and tested recycled wood plastic composites. His expertise spans from rheology, structure-property relations, biochemistry, and composite processing to civil- and structural engineering. He is experienced in lecturing static mechanics and material science and has, i.a., supervised 8 student projects and scientific staff. He has a multi-scale approach to composite development and a focus on biologically-based binders.
