Short presentation

Kari Eriksson is currently a PhD student researching opportunities and barriers for green transition of dairy farming in Denmark. Her project is part of the interdisciplinary research project Cattle Crossroads at University of Copenhagen, where animal and veterinary science is merged with anthropology. She has a master’s in animal science from University of Copenhagen with a focus on production animals, mainly cattle and pigs. Her research interests lie in systems thinking and the relations between humans, animals, and landscapes. In her current work she explores how to think beyond relative sustainability measures and incorporate absolute perspectives, inspired by the planetary boundary framework.
