Personal profile

Short presentation

I am currently enrolled as a resident at the European Society of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ESVCN). My main area of research during my PhD and residency has been obesity in cats and how it is estimated and which obesity associated metabolic changes occur in muscle, fat and blood in cats. I have been a co-supervisor on bachelor and master thesis projects investigating e.g. obesity in dogs, cats and rabbits, dental diseases associated with diet in rabbits and prevention of urinary krystals and stones in dogs. I am the primary veterinarian in the clinical nutrition service and as part of my job I conduct work up and treatment of patients with a large variety of diagnoses and conditions in which proper nutrition is a part of the treatment of the patient. A large part of my daily work consists of the formulation of homemade diets for both healthy and diseased animals.
