Personal profile
Short presentation
I'm a clinical psychologist highly interested in psychiatry, especially psychosis spectrum disorders. There is a need for better prediction of psychosis development and optimization of intervention measures for patients at Ultra High Risk for psychosis (UHR).
My PhD project is based on the “PRESCIENT project”, a longitudinal, international multicenter study that aims to investigate clinical, cognitive and biological markers of psychosis development. A total of 1000 people at UHR for psychosis are included in the study globally and followed for two years. 50 of these patients will be followed at the Danish site.
My PhD project will specifically focus on potential changes in social cognition, self-disturbances, and grey matter structure, respectively in antipsychotic-naïve patients at UHR of psychosis.
The “PRESCIENT project” is led by Barnaby Nelson and Patrick McGorry (Orygen) and is a part of the Accelerating Medicines Partnership® for Schizophrenia (AMP® SCZ), the largest international collaboration to date that aims to develop algorithms to predict the trajectories and outcomes of individuals at ultra-high risk (UHR) for psychosis.
PRESCIENT comprises 11 international sites, including Denmark, Copenhagen. The Danish site is located at Copenhagen Research Center for Mental Health (CORE), Psykiatrisk Center København.
This study is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), USA.
