In my research at the Dynamo Center, I aim at identifying exporter proteins of the glucosinolate defence compounds in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.

Translocation of glucosinolates from site of synthesis to storage is important for eg. defense responses and involves long-distance transport and the crossing of multiple membranes. With glucosinolate importers already described, the identification and characterization of exporters will contribute to understanding the full glucosinolate transporter complement of Arabidopsis.
