Personal profile

Current research

My PhD project is about ecology and conservation of Asiatic wild dogs (Cuon alpinus) also known as dholes on Java in Indonesia. Dholes are listed as endangered on the IUCN redlist and have disappeared from over 80% of their former range with only about 2000 estimated to remain in the wild. The focus of my PhD project is to investigate dhole movement ecology and identify potential corridors between sub-populations on Java. In addition, study the diet of dholes in Baluran National Park on Java to recognise important prey species and detect if and how often livestock is eaten.

Fields of interest

My fields of interest are generally in ecology and conservation of mammals especially in conservation strategies, movement ecology and juvenile dispersal of carnivores.
