Personal profile

Short presentation

I am a part of the project Link-Lives: Historical Big Data, an interdisciplinary research project that establishes historical life courses and family connections by connecting censuses and the archives' sources about baptisms, weddings and funerals.

I research the Danish classification systems for causes of death 1836–1941, and compare them with the international system "International Classification of Diseases" from 1893-2020. The aim is to develop methods for coding causes of death in historical life course databases, so that it becomes possible to understand and compare causes of death from different periods and geographical locations.
