Personal profile

Short presentation

Mads P. Goddiksen has been assistant professor at the Department of Food and Resource Economics since 2017. He holds a master degree in philosophy and physics, and a PhD in science studies (philosophy of science).

Primary fields of research

His main research areas are academic integrity and research integrity, general philosophy of science and philosophy of interdisciplinarity. Almost all his research is done with an eye to education. Recently, he was part of the research project INTEGRITY funded by H2020 developing research based training on academic integrity and responsible conduct of research across three educational levels.

Teaching

He teaches and supervises on a broad range of topics related to methodology, ethics and risk, including a range of the mandatory philosophy of science courses at the Science Faculty.

Possible conflicts of interest

Mads has, on a few occasions, received salary for lectures given at Danish universities and other public institutions (e.g. the Danish police). His research has benefitted from funding from the Danish Research Council and the European Union (through H2020). Currently, his position is largely funded through teaching, including courses on research integrity for PhD students.
