Malene Hornstrup Jespersen is a PhD student in Social Data Science. She holds a BSc in Anthropology and a Master’s degree in IT and Cognition. Her research focuses on the ways in which people attempt to control their digital use, among these digital disconnection practices as well as discourses and values tied to these practices. The PhD forms part of the ERC-funded project DISTRACT: The Political Economy of Attention in Digitized Denmark.
Social Data Science Skills: Natural language processing, large scale data analysis, cognitive science, ethnography, and computational social science.
