I'm a PhD fellow at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Food and Resource Economics (IFRO). My main scientific interests revolve around the integration of behavioral insights for the prevention and reduction of environmental risks, and the achievement of sustainable adaptive behaviors. In my current research, I investigate how smallholder farmers and new agroforesters make climate change adaptation decisions under different sources of uncertainty in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico (my home region).

Before my PhD, I worked at the United Nations University (UNU-EHS) for over three years, first as a Student Assistant and later as a Junior Researcher. In my work, I was involved in multiple research projects: Tipping Points of Food Security in West Africa, global analysis of Future Risk in NAPs, policy coherence in Mexico, and Transformative Sustainability in Latin America. Prior to joining UNU, I worked in education, community development, conservation and climate change adaptation in Mexico, Nicaragua and France.

Project title: The role of sources of uncertainty and temporal biases in climate change (in)action (UnbiAs).
