Short presentation

I have a PhD degree from the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences, University of Copenhagen (2013). Subsequently, I worked as a Postdoc at the University of Southern Denmark on different research projects and teaching (2014-2016). After that I was employed as Lecturer at the University of Stirling in Scotland – a combined teaching and research position with administrative and leadership responsibilities (2016-2023). I am currently based at the University of Copenhagen as an external lecturer and guest researcher.

 

Primary fields of research

Key foci in my research lie in health promotion and prevention in sport and society with themes around performance enhancing drugs, health and policy as well as health promotion and exercise initiatives at work. Some of my key research interests are: elite sport lives and working conditions, doping and anti-doping policy in sport and society; drugs, health and prevention; integrity issues in sport; the impact of implementing physical activity and exercise at work on working environments and health and wellbeing of employees, and how programmes can be developed to ensure sustainability after intervention.
